community recognition awards

We recently had the honour of celebrating nine incredible people who help make Orangeville the community we’re so proud to call home. These are the people who show up, give back, and quietly (and not so quietly!) make a difference every single day.

Our inaugural Community Recognition Awards were all about celebrating that spirit – volunteers, coaches, artists, athletes, and community champions who were nominated by the people who see their impact firsthand.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients:

🏆 Jane Lightle – Volunteer Service, Community & Social Services

🏆 Sandy Brown – Volunteer Service, Community & Social Services

🏆 Jaime Daniels – Volunteer Service, Sports & Recreation

🏆 Brian Hooper – Volunteer Service, Sports & Recreation

🏆 Heather Holmes – Volunteer Service, Arts & Culture

🏆 Joan Borden – Volunteer Service, Arts & Culture

🏆 Olivia McConnell – Citizen Achievement, Sports

🏆 Adrian Maes – Community Champion

🏆 Jennifer Betz – Mayor’s Special Achievement Award

Each of you represents the very best of #RootedInCommunity – and I am so grateful for everything you do to make Orangeville stronger, kinder, and more connected.

Please join me in sharing congratulations and appreciation for everything they do! We are so lucky to have these incredible people in our community!

And a special thank you to Rick Arsenault for volunteering to be our Master of Ceremonies for this special evening!
